Part II Self Defense Against a Side Headlock
Shihan Michael Pace
Part II How to Defend Against a Side Headlock 5. After several strikes with the forward (right in this case) hand, you may be able to release your other hand from his arm and strike in from the rear into the groin. This is also an option is the attacker is holding your head tight, with two arms.
6. Then, take the rear hand (left in this case) and bring it up over his shoulder and grab his throat (you could also grab his hair if it were long or his eye sockets or even the ear).
7. Pull back on his throat (or whatever you grabbed). Continue back until his balance is broken as well as the hold.
8. Then shift your pulling direction to straight down. From there you can either escape of continue to strike with punches or foot stomps.
