Part II Defending Against a Roundhouse Punch (Sucker Punch).
Shihan Michael Pace

Part II How to Defend Against a Roundhouse Punch (Sucker Punch). 5. Drive knee kicks into his groin as you pull in with both hands. One hand is still on his arm the other on the back of his neck.

6. The knee kicks could be to the solar plexus or the face, as illustrated, depending on the distance and the height of your attacker.

7. Horizontal elbow strikes make a nice finishing technique if necessary.

8. An enhancement to this technique would be to execute what we call a “stop hit”. A stop hit is when you block and strike at the same time. In this case as the illustration shows, I am blocking the roundhouse punch while simultaneously executing a palm heel to the face.
