Part II Defending Against a Hammer Lock
Shihan Michael Pace

Part II How to Defend Against a Hammer Lock 5. Twisting, clockwise, shift your weight back toward your attacker while bending your arm and circling it to your left (in this case).

6. Continue bringing your arm up and to your left until his grip is broken. Notice how the attackers arms are twisted and crossed, causing him to lose his hold.

7. At this point you can follow up with palm heel strikes, knee kicks and elbow strikes as we did in the other defenses.
