6. Then remove the weapon from his hand. From here you can get to safety.
7. A nice enhancement to this technique if your reaction time allows is to use the stop hit. This is the same technique we used for the roundhouse punch. Here I am executing a palm heel strike at the same time as the block. Because your attacker is moving forward, right into it’s power and it catches him totally by surprise, this can very well be a knock out blow.
8. This is a view from the other side to see what the proper position for the arm lock up is. It is very difficult for the attacker to withdraw his weapon once it is locked like this.
