Defending Against an Overhead Club Attack

How to Defend Against an Overhead Club Attack

  1. The attacker is striking directly overhead with a club. This could be any blunt instrument for example, a stick, bottle, bat, etc. The block is done to the forearm, using your forearm.

      
  2. Hooking your hand over the striking arm, gain control over the striking arm and club.


      
  3. Continue pulling the arm down to your side while using the other hand to control the weapon wielding arm.

      
  4. As you hold tightly, locking his weapon arm, drive knee kicks into the groin. Continue knee kicking until your attacker is subdued.
