Part II Defending Against a Double Collar Grab
Shihan Michael Pace

Part II How to Defend Against a Double Collar Grab 5. Here is a view from the other side. See how the wrist is bent up. This prepares you for the next move. For the next move we will go back to the original side we started the technique from.

6. We are back on the original side again in this picture. I have stepped back with the right foot and simultaneously taken my right palm and clapped into my weaving hand, bringing both hands over his arms.

7. Continue bringing the arms over and back. Please notice how the attackers hands cross and the release is made.

8. From here you can follow up (if the situation is dangerous) with a palm heel strike, knee kicks, elbows, etc., as we have done in the previous follow up attacks. Notice how there is a pattern to the follow ups in that they are essentially the same. Remember, simplicity and a minimal number of techniques is key.
