Defending Against a Club Attack - Outside Attack

How to Defend Against a Club Attack - Outside Attack
- The attacker is swinging the club and coming in from the outside (as opposed to back handed or inside).
- Timing is important, especially if the attacker is swinging the weapon from side to side. At the right instant step in and perform a two arm block using the inside of the arms. The ideal place for the block (although it won’t always happen) is to have one arm on each side of the elbow. Notice my strong stance.
- Taking the rear hand (in this case the left) slide it up and over the top of the attackers arm while bringing the front hand to the shoulder area.
- Continue wrapping your arm around his club bearing arm as you grab his arm (on the inside portion) with your hand (left in this case). Pull his arm tight to your side, locking it in.
